Story of Md Tauhid Bin Abdus Salam & Classical Handmade Products BD-Md Tauhid bin Abdus Salam (37) is the first and only son of their family's among four children. He was born in Mathbaria thana of Pirojpur district of south Bengal, his father Md. Abdus Salam is a retired government official. Tauhid has a degree from the BGMEA University for Fashion and Technology (BUFT). He majored in patterns and design, and learned about product, development design as well.Tauhid the proprietor of Classical Handmade Products Bangladesh, he has been working in the initiative for poverty reduction for more than 10 years, in 2008 and has now built it into a successful business with a workforce of 1600 including Nilphamari Unit, mostly women are from 3 km radius of their living area.His four factories are stretched across the impoverished north of Bangladesh, where non-agricultural work is scarce and his rag-rug factories provide a valuable source of jobs, especially for rural women. Tauhid's factories are now producing some 120,000 rugs, 30,000 baskets, 20,000 storage, and 24,000 table mats in a month all of which are exported and sold in European market.The products are manufacturing by 100% local agro natural materials. The products are cheap, unique, handmade and environmentally-friendly; CHP uses only local agro base materials from the best quality to produce living room items for Westerners. The company could easily expand as there are so much natural agro materials to use up. Aim of Classical Handmade Products BD is to produce handmade products decentralized way in Northern Bangladesh which will at least improve the "MONGA" situation a little bit. Classical Handmade Products BD tries to establish their factories as close as possible to the poor people in different areas of Northern Bangladesh where "MONGA" is an every year scenario.
